DIS SCHOLAR CUP WINNERS

A world wide school competition organised by FEZA Schools, each year  aims at inspiring young people of all backgrounds to love learning, gain confidence in new skills and acquire a sense of global citizenship. The event features public speaking, critical thing, team work and fast-paced group problem solving.

This is Dar es Salaam Independent School’s second year of participation which has seen an increase in participants and improved performance.

Last year Khyra Mwapachu a Form one student emerged as top junior. Karen Kanga was ranked 5th junior position over all.

  This year also Khyra Mwapachu  and Fatuma Kassim   DIS students emerged as top Junior scholar in the Dar es salaam round attended by over 15 schools.

DIS scooped 5 trophies, 52 gold medals and 54 silver medals. We are now eyeing the global event at any of the following locations; Dubai, Prague, Melbourne, Bangkok, Johannesburg where our 30 student qualifiers will compete for the final event at Yale University.
