ANTI-BULLYING WEEK AT DIS MIKOCHENI
Nobody is ever born with an intent to bully others. Bullying is a behaviour which is often used to cope with a traumatic and stressful situation.Happy and secure people do not bully others.
THURSDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER PEEK OF THE WEEK
A WORD FROM MRS MSANGI (HEAD OF PRIMARY)
Every child that studies at DIS has the right to be happy at school, at home and anywhere they might happen to be.

With this in mind we decided to have an anti-bullying week in our school calendar. The week was success as our main objective was to hear from children what they felt about a child being bullied, how could they stop, how could they help those who are bullies and the bullied.
Students did a lot of discussions, plays, poems, and other activities. Most were learner centered activities with a bit of input from the teachers.
Thursday 19th September was the peek of the week. It started with an assembly which was brilliant with students’ presentations, two parents volunteered to give out some speeches on anti-bullying Mr. Makalle and Dr. Karbo. We are grateful for their support and all parents who turned up at our assembly.
My appreciation to Ms. Evelyn Kopoka and Mr. Mtulla who led the whole programme. Mr. Teddy who does all the Music and all teachers.
