Student Leadership & Service

There is a very strong and proud tradition of leadership at Dar es salaam Independent School (DIS) that means much more than just having a title. Students in both Primary and Secondary Schools have the opportunity to work together to help make a difference to the School and the wider community. In this way, they contribute to the School’s well being.

The student leadership structure consists of multiple levels, each having positions of responsibility that need to be undertaken with commitment, energy and consideration for others. These remarkable students are prepared to extend themselves, to utilise their skills and talents, to support others, and to enhance the School. Leadership positions range from the School President and Ministers each Campus having their own representatives.

We encourage our students to be leaders in the communities that we serve and to make a difference where they can.
